Okay, so I've had to keep a secret for a while. But "the cat's out of the bag" officially. My husband and I have been praying for a while about our future and where God was leading us.
So, here's the announcement: I am taking a year's leave of absence with the United Methodist Church so that I can get a nonprofit started: Water's Edge Partnership.
"What is Water's Edge Partnership?" - inquisitively you ask. It's exciting, scary, and a bit overwhelming. Instead of being in church on a Sunday morning, we'll be down at the docks - on our sailboat - talking with people who probably feel God around them but wouldn't think of stepping inside a church door.
We'll be inviting people out on the street, down at the docks, over at the office, or hanging out for coffee if they'd be interested in becoming part of a community who wants to explore and be just like Jesus.
All I can say is this: things are popping faster than popcorn on a BBQ right now. I'm just trying to keep up!
Stay tuned and as we get closer to the Grand Opening, I'll share more with you.

Talk for those serving God creatively.
